About The Accra Daily Mail

The Accra Daily Mail is a Ghanaian digital news publication focused on bringing readers clear, reliable and useful information about Ghana, Africa and the world.

We cover the stories that matter to everyday people, businesses and organisations — from politics and business to the economy, technology, health, sports, entertainment, culture and major developments across the country.

Our goal is simple: to keep Ghanaians informed without making the news difficult to understand.

Our Story

The name Accra Daily Mail carries a place in Ghana’s newspaper history. The original Accra Daily Mail was a privately owned Ghanaian newspaper established in 1998 and later relaunched as The Mail in 2009.

Today, The Accra Daily Mail is being developed as a new digital publication, built for the way Ghanaians consume news today.

We believe the future of journalism is not only about reporting what happened. It is also about helping people understand why it matters.

That is why our coverage combines daily news with explainers, business stories, company profiles, analysis, interviews and stories that provide useful context.

What We Cover

Our newsroom covers a wide range of topics, including:

We are particularly interested in stories that affect Ghana’s economy, businesses, communities and the everyday lives of Ghanaians.

Our Approach

We believe good journalism should be clear, fair and useful.

We do not believe that using complicated language makes a story better. Our aim is to explain important issues in simple English while still giving readers the facts, background and analysis they need.

Whether we are reporting on a government policy, a major company, the economy, a new technology or an important event in Accra, we ask a simple question:

Why should the reader care?

We also believe in giving readers context. A headline may tell you what happened, but good journalism should also help you understand what happened before, what it means today and what could happen next.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We are committed to responsible journalism.

We make reasonable efforts to verify information before publication and to distinguish between confirmed facts, statements made by individuals or organisations, and analysis.

Where information is unclear or still developing, we aim to make that clear to our readers.

We also believe in correcting genuine errors when they occur.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build The Accra Daily Mail into one of Ghana’s trusted digital news and information platforms — a publication that people can turn to every day for news, business information, analysis and stories that matter.

We want our journalism to serve both the Ghanaian reader at home and Ghanaians and Africans living around the world.
